讲授本科生《环境工程微生物学》《生态学基础》和研究生《水土保持试验研究方法》等课程。主持国家自然科学基金面上项目、国家重点研发计划子题等项目20余项。在国内外核心学术期刊发表论文90余篇。获得陕西省科技进步奖、中国水土保持学会科学技术奖等奖励8项。
